Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

I saw this movie when it first came out in cinema. After coming out of the cinema, I knew I was just after watching one of the greatest movie of all times. I say that because it is completely different to the other Mad Max. The director, George Miller, takes the Mad Max franchise down a different path. The plot is as follows: A lone wonder who runs from, both the living and the dead, wonders the wasteland which was once Australia. The lone wonder is called Max Rockatansky, played by Tom hardy. After sometime, Max is captured by a group known as the War Boys, who follow a corrupted leader called Immortan Joe, played by Keays – Byrne. Everybody fears for him except for one, Imperator Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron. Immortan Joe entrust her with his war rig, which is used to collect gas from gas town. On one particular run, Furiosa abandons protocols and sets off, along with Immortans breeders, as she looks to return home. However their escape won’t be easy as they are chased down by Immortan Joe and co. Faith has brought Furiosa and Max together, redemption. When people watch Mad Max, they watch it for it’s actions. We can thank Guy Norris, who was the stunt coordinator, for the fight scenes, flamethrowers, gun fights etc. His coordination made us, the viewers, sat on the edge our seats. The setting was of high quality as it looked like a war zone.  It is hard to justify who played Max better. Back when he was in his prime, Mel Gibson played the role very well. Tom Hardy’s Max plays a different role compare to Gibson’s Max as he fighting demons inside and outside. The performance Nicholas Hoult, who plays a War Boy called Nux, can not go unwatch as he his both cunning and innocent which makes him stand out, out of the rest. When you compare the original Mad Max to Fury road, it is far more violent and bloodier and that is why I would give it a rating of 4/5.
